For light conditioning:

1. Fill a cup or bowl with warm water
2. Add a small amount of cat conditioner to the water
3. Pour the water-conditioner mixture over your cat's back
4. Rinse
5. Rinse again

For heavy duty conditioning:

1. Stop up the drain to your sink and fill the basin with warm water
2. Add a slightly larger amount of cat conditioner to the basin and mix it with the water
3. Place your cat into the basin and massage the fur just as you would if you were conditioning your own hair in the shower
4. Rinse your cat with pure water
5. Rinse
6. Rinse again

Please note, this is not a leave-in cat conditioner. Be sure to rinse all the conditioner completely out of your cat's fur, as it is very rich and should not be left to linger.
